Terms of Service

01Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Deutschify, including our website, learner app, practice modules, and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use Deutschify. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.

02The Service

Deutschify provides interactive German B2 exam preparation across skills such as Lesen, Sprachbausteine, Hören, Schreiben, and Mündlich. Features may include structured practice, progress tracking, onboarding preferences, and optional teacher review for written or spoken submissions.

We may change, improve, or discontinue parts of the Service. We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but we do not guarantee that any particular feature will remain available forever.

Deutschify is a learning aid. It does not guarantee exam results, visas, university admission, or official certification.

03Accounts

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password confidential.
• You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
• One person per account unless we expressly allow shared or institutional seats.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose a security risk, or remain unpaid when payment is required.

04Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the higher age of digital consent in your country) to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with a parent or guardian’s involvement as required by local law.

05Plans and payments

Some modules or features may be free; others require a paid plan. Prices, billing intervals, and included skills are shown on our pricing pages at the time of purchase.

When paid billing is enabled, charges are processed by our payment provider. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled according to the cancellation flow we provide. Taxes may apply based on your location.

Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. If we make a material change that removes paid value you already purchased, we may offer a prorated credit or comparable remedy at our discretion.

06Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share, sell, or publicly redistribute proprietary exercise content, audio, or model answers outside personal study use.
• Attempt to bypass paywalls, rate limits, authentication, or security controls.
• Upload malware, scrape the Service at scale, or interfere with other users.
• Submit content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringes others’ rights.
• Misrepresent your identity to teachers, reviewers, or Deutschify staff.
• Use automated bots to generate answers or farm progress metrics in a way that harms the platform.

07Your content

You retain ownership of writing, audio, and other materials you submit. You grant Deutschify a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Service — including delivering it to reviewers you request feedback from.

You confirm you have the rights to submit that content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

08Our content and IP

The Deutschify name, logo, UI, curriculum structure, exercise frameworks, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own exam preparation. No other license is granted.

09Third-party services

The Service may link to or integrate third-party tools (for example payment or analytics providers). Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party sites or outages outside our reasonable control.

10Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that content is complete or exam-board official.

11Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Deutschify and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or exam opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) fifty euros (EUR 50), except where liability cannot be limited by law (for example, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

12Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) will survive termination.

13Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where local law requires additional consent.

14Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Tunisia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence require otherwise. Courts in Tunis shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to those mandatory protections.
